Wroughton Junior School

Computing

At Wroughton Junior school, we believe that learning computing provides pupils with logical thinking and creativity to understand a modern technological world. Computing provides a brilliant link with mathematics, science, English, and design and technology. In this transforming world, we give children the knowledge of how digital systems work and how to use this knowledge through programming. Building on this knowledge and understanding, children are equipped to use technology to create programs, systems and a range of content. Computing at Wroughton Junior school also ensures that pupils become digitally literate and safe – able to use, and express themselves and develop their ideas through technology – at a level suitable for the future workplace and as active participants in an evolving digital world.
